Wear and tear. Tires naturally wear over time and can affect the performance of your vehicle.
Tread. Put a penny upside down in the tread of a tire. If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, the tread is worn down and the tire should be replaced. Be sure to check in multiple places around each tire!
Age. There are four numbers on the side of the tire - the first two are the week and the last two are the year the tire was made. It's recommended to replace your tires after six years.
Consult the owner’s manual or inside the driver’s door jamb to find the size and type of tire for your vehicle.
Consider how you use the vehicle. How much driving will you do? How heavy is the load? What are the weather conditions?
